Today was day two of my last week…and it was off to an even quieterrrrr start!! Argh! In fact the whole day was pretty damn quiet! There’s something very strange going on in the shopping centre this week its eerily quiet – at one point in the afternoon we listened and we couldn’t hear anyone! Very strange indeed!
Eventually however with a heap of pushing from my part we got to target! I brought in something like 11 PR’s I think…our target was 15… I found out today all the bonus system has changed so there aren’t so many rewards for individual performance and more just group bonuses…which would be good if it was all even in the effort in the group…but I think it’s fair to say that I am slightly more proactive than a few others in the team…so I was less than impressed to hear that if I wanted any sort of bonus I would have to keep breaking my back working hard only to reward everyone else as well…hmmm!
Anyway enough moaning! We ended up working late to hit target and didn’t end up finishing until 5.45pm!! Luisa drove me to the city but as we were too late for me to make the gym, we decided to move our Wednesday dinner plans to tonight! She wanted to take me to the Moroccan Soup Bar in Fitzroy which I had really been wanting to go to!
We got stuck in SO much traffic….I didn’t realise how far out the city the place was and started to get really frustrated thinking that maybe it was a bad idea and I had just wasted an extra half an hour of my night for nothing…butttt we preserved and finallllly got there albeit a bit longer than it should’ve been due to Luisa wanting to go her way rather than using a GPS to go the quickest way! haha!! It was a very small restaurant and its popularity of course meant it was fully booked for the next 45 minutes…so just as we were leaving I thought I would enquire about sharing one of the big round tables…turns out one of them was available for the next half hour until it had been reserved, so we grabbed that table and got ready for a speedy dinner! Luisa’s daughter Bianca and her friend ended up joining us which was nice – very lovely girls! So any myself and Luisa demolished dish after dish from the set “Banquet for One” which was really for two people, we got told the booking group were delayed by 20minutes giving us exactly enough time to finish eating without rushing! Perfect!!
The food was delicious – dips, lentils, rice, potato, spices and flavours galore! It had it all! They also served us an amazing peppermint tea and a moroccan coffee (a bit too strong for me!) with some mini desserts! Yum yum yum!!!
Eventually we paid and headed off as Luisa dropped me to Richmond station to get home (after a slightly wrong route again! haha, this time not Luisa’s fault!)
Well I have just gotten home and the guys have just put on the Disney film “Meet the Robinson’s” which I am going to attempt to watch although I am knackered so will probably fall asleep! Haha!
Ciaoooo!
