{"id":3090,"date":"2016-02-18T17:45:43","date_gmt":"2016-02-18T17:45:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hayleyroosphotography.co.uk\/mosaic\/?p=3090"},"modified":"2016-02-19T10:45:28","modified_gmt":"2016-02-19T10:45:28","slug":"feb-1920-parasha-tetzaveh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hayleyroosphotography.co.uk\/mosaic\/services\/this-shabbat\/feb-1920-parasha-tetzaveh\/","title":{"rendered":"Feb 19\/20: Parasha Tetzaveh"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-852\" src=\"https:\/\/hayleyroosphotography.co.uk\/mosaic\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/rabbipaulsml.jpg\" alt=\"rabbipaulsml\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" \/><em>Shabbat comes in 5.07pm: goes out 6.12pm<\/em><\/div>\n<div>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<div>In this week\u2019s parasha, we read about the breastpiece, &#8220;choshen mishpat&#8221;, worn by the high priest, Kohen gadol.\u00a0 Twelve different gemstones, called the \u201cUrim ve\u2019 Turim\u201d, \u00a0were affixed to it.\u00a0 On each stone was engraved the name of one of the twelve tribes of Israel.\u00a0 They were placed in the pouch on the priest&#8217;s chest &#8220;so that they are over Aaron&#8217;s heart when he comes before the Lord&#8221; (28:30).<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>On the verse, &#8220;Aaron shall carry the justice of the Israelites over his heart,&#8221; one commentator explains that it refers to when Aaron had to act like a judge.
