{"id":2284,"date":"2015-07-22T10:55:11","date_gmt":"2015-07-22T10:55:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hayleyroosphotography.co.uk\/mosaic\/?p=2284"},"modified":"2015-07-22T10:55:11","modified_gmt":"2015-07-22T10:55:11","slug":"2425-july-parsha-devarim","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hayleyroosphotography.co.uk\/mosaic\/services\/this-shabbat\/2425-july-parsha-devarim\/","title":{"rendered":"24\/25 JULY: PARSHA DEVARIM"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<h1><em>Shabbat comes in at 8.47pm and goes out at 9.58pm<\/em><\/h1>\n<p><strong>Saturday is Erev Tisha B&#8217;Av<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Our parasha is always read on the Shabbat directly preceding Tisha B\u2019av (which begins this Saturday night) \u2014 the day in which we commemorate the destruction of the Temples in Jerusalem.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Both the Torah reading and the haftorah this week contain the word \u201cEicha\u201d which is the name of the reading (Lamentations in English) we do on Tisha B\u2019Av.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The prophet Isaiah cries out\u00a0\u201c<span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: 12px;\">Eichah\/How<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\">\u201d<\/span><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px; font-size: 12px;\">\u00a0about the entire city of Jerusalem \u2014 \u201cHow has she [Jerusalem] become a harlot!
